Rubyleigh is very proud to announce we now breed the beautiful English Teddy Groodles! These puppies are bred with English lines. This has been a big project and we finally have some English teddy puppies to show off. Our first litter was born late 2015 and the puppies were exactly as we had hoped for.
An English Teddy Groodle is a hybrid between a Poodle and an English Creme Golden Retriever. They are affectionate and gentle by nature, and have gained popularity since the first Groodle was bred in 1990s. They make excellent family dogs and generally get along well with everyone.
English Teddy Groodles are easy to train and make great companions. Groodles continue to be versatile dogs; they wear many hats including guide dogs, service dogs, therapy dogs, and sniffer dogs. Groodles thrive on personal contact and interaction.
They grow to the same size as your medium and standard Groodles and have the same beautiful fleece non shedding coats and adorable natures. English Groodles usually have lower levels of dander. We particularly breed for the white English Teddy’s coats.
English Teddy Groodles are not to be confused with Labradoodles! A Groodle a cross between a Golden Retriever and Poodle. A Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador Retriever with a Poodle.
The puppies below are our English teddy’s form our first litter at 4 months old.
We are currently the only breeders in Australia breeding these beautiful Bears.

Archie has settled so well into our family, he is one of the kids for sure as they do almost everything together.
He was very well toilet trained from the beginning (he has only had a handful of accidents) and is responding very well to training.
Archie loves to walk and socialise in the dog park near our house, and loves spending time with relative’s dogs too.
We couldn’t be happier with our ‘little’ man, can’t imagine life without him!
I have attacked a photo taken this morning, he had a haircut 2 weeks ago. I have to say, he didn’t mind a bit of pampering 😀
